Bottled water, coffee and tea are always available. Exclusions are international flights, visas, travel insurance, gratuities, and premium alcoholic beverages.

How do I book a safari with TanzaQuestPro?

The process is simple:

  1. Inquire: Book online package or send us your Wishlist, Contact us via our website form, email or phone. Share your interests, dates and group size.

  2. Consult: Our safari expert will consult with you to design a tailored itinerary and provide a detailed quotation.

  3. Secure: To secure your booking, a 30% deposit is required. This confirms your accommodation and guide.

  4. Finalize: The remaining balance is due 6 months prior to your arrival.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand plans can change. Our policy is as follows:

  • More than 6 months before arrival: Full refund of your deposit, minus a small administrative fee.

  • Between 6 and 3 months  before arrival: 50% of the total tour cost is forfeited.

  • Less than 3 months before arrival: 100% of the total tour cost is forfeited.

We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation coverage.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds for cancellations are processed according to the policy above. No refunds will be given for any unused services or late arrivals for any reason. Refunds are processed in USD and may take 7-10 business days.

How can I communicate with you during the planning process and while in Tanzania?

You will have direct email and WhatsApp access to your dedicated safari consultant. In Tanzania, your guide will have a satellite phone for emergency communication in areas with no cell service. We also provide a 24/7 emergency contact number for families to reach us.

What travel documents do I need to enter Tanzania?

  • Passport: Must be valid for at least six months beyond your date of entry and have at least two blank pages.

  • Visa: Most travelers require a visa. These can be obtained online as an e-Visa prior to travel or upon arrival at major entry points (recommended to get beforehand). Please check the latest requirements from your local Tanzanian embassy.

  • Vaccination Certificate: A valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required if you are arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.

What vaccinations and health precautions are recommended?

We are not medical professionals and strongly advise you to consult a travel clinic. Commonly recommended vaccinations include Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, and Tetanus. Anti-Malarial prophylaxis is essential for Tanzania. Your doctor will advise on the best option for you.

What is the best time to visit Tanzania?

Tanzania is a year-round destination:

  • Dry Season (June – October): Best for wildlife viewing as animals congregate around water sources. Excellent weather.

  • Calving Season (Late January – February): The time of the Great Migration calving in the Ndutu Plains (Southern Serengeti). Fantastic predator action.

  • Green Season (November – May): Lush landscapes, excellent birding, and fewer tourists. Short rains occur in November/December, and long rains are from March to May.

What should I pack for my safari?

  • Clothing: Neutral-colored clothing (khaki, green, beige – avoid blue and black as they attract tsetse flies). Layers are key (mornings are cold, days are warm).

  • Essentials: A warm fleece or jacket for early mornings, a waterproof jacket, sturdy closed-toe shoes, a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and a swimsuit (many lodges have pools).
